Boni’s is inspired by Jess’ great grandfather, Bonifacio (aka Boni). He immigrated from Spain to Argentina, before settling in New Jersey. During Prohibition, he worked as a rum runner, made his own wine, played music, smoked cigars, and grew much of his own food.

Boni’s also draws from Todd’s grandfather, Leon, who owned bars in Louisiana. Together, their stories shape a space rooted in heritage, hospitality, and a genuine love of bringing people together.
